Mentoring Program
The department of Medical and Health programs at the Saudi Cultural Mission in Washington, DC is creating a new program we named it “Mentoring Program”.
This program is going to be very useful for new comers’ doctors and other health professionals who are in need of help and guidance from their senior colleagues. The information and the experience which will be provided by the mentors who are considered more advanced; seasoned and trusted friends, will help the new comers doctors avoid plenty of mistakes and teach them how to handle issues related to passing the USMLE’s and other requirements for nursing, Physical therapy, pharmacy studying and how to apply through the match and what to do to maximize his/her chances to get a position in residency or fellowship.
Even schools and universities currently are offering mentoring programs to new students, or students having difficulties, because of the proven benefit of mentors who provide expertise to less experienced individuals to help them advance their careers, enhance their education, and build their networks.
In many different arenas people have benefited from being part of a mentoring relationship, therefore we are providing volunteer service to us so that we could establish a certified list of mentors on our web site.
